About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, AWS, and Generative AI to build scalable backend services for AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate should have experience developing microservices, integrating LLMs, and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI).
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.

Generative AI Development

- Develop and integrate RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
- Work with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases (OpenSearch), and AI workflows.
- Implement prompt engineering techniques including zero-shot, few-shot, and RAG-based prompting.
- Integrate AI models using frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, and OpenAI APIs.

Cloud & DevOps

- Deploy and manage applications on AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB).
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
- Ensure cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

Collaboration

- Work closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, QA, and cross-functional teams.




- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application performance.

Required Skills

- 5–8 years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong programming expertise in Python with FastAPI.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Good understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
- Experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases (OpenSearch), and RAG implementations.
- Practical knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.
- Experience with LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, or similar GenAI frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.

Good to Have

- Kubernetes or container orchestration experience.
- Knowledge of observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Exposure to manufacturing or industrial AI use cases.
- Experience with performance tuning and application security.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Immediate joiners or candidates with 0–30 days notice period.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced, product engineering environment.
