Your role, your impact

As a Hybrid Patch Engineer, youll play a critical role in supporting Windows patch management operations while bridging Windows and Linux patching streams within the VPM offshore pod. Youll leverage your expertise in Windows Server administration, endpoint patching, enterprise patch management tools, and cross-platform operations to execute patching activities, support automation initiatives, and maintain compliance across Windows environments.

Your ability to coordinate cross-platform patching efforts, support onboarding into automation frameworks, troubleshoot operational challenges, and collaborate across infrastructure teams will directly contribute to operational stability, security compliance, and the continued modernization of enterprise patch management processes.

Your day-to-day

- Execute Windows Server and Windows 10/11 operating system and component patching across assigned server and endpoint portfolios;

- Support cross-platform patch coordination activities by bridging Windows and Linux execution streams within the patch management pod;

- Assist with onboarding Windows environments into Ansible Tower (AAP2) and other automation frameworks;

- Work through connectivity, access, and tooling constraints within DMZ and restricted environments;

- Perform manual patching activities where automation coverage is not yet available while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance;

- Support integration activities between patch orchestration platforms and Windows-based middleware or application environments;

- Maintain patching compliance tracking, remediation activities, and reporting across Windows server inventories;

- Collaborate with Linux-focused engineers to ensure coordinated patch sequencing and resolution of cross-platform dependencies;





- Support initiatives to reduce reliance on legacy patch management tooling and increase automation adoption;

- Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on streamlining patch management operations and reducing manual effort.

Keys to your success

- 3 to 4 years of strong hands-on experience with Windows Server patching, including operating system, component, and security patch management within enterprise environments;

- 3 to 4 years of experience supporting Windows 10/11 endpoint patching and management activities;

- 3+ years of practical experience with enterprise patching tools such as SCCM, WSUS, HPSA, or equivalent technologies;

- Positive working knowledge of Ansible and Ansible Tower (AAP2), including execution activities and basic playbook understanding gained through real-world project experience;

- Working familiarity with Linux (RHEL) patching processes sufficient to support cross-platform coordination and operational activities;

- Solid understanding of change management processes within production and regulated environments;

- Exposure to middleware patching and application-aware patching methodologies;

- Strong execution discipline with the ability to manage multiple patching streams simultaneously;

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills;

- Proactive communication skills with the ability to identify and escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies before they impact delivery timelines;

- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across Windows, Linux, infrastructure, and application teams;

- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation, operational efficiency, and process optimization.
