Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Android Automotive Technical Lead to lead the design, architecture, development, and delivery of next-generation Android Automotive, infotainment, and digital cockpit solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical leadership, hands-on Android development expertise, and extensive experience in automotive software platforms, enabling the successful delivery of scalable and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, design, development, and integration of Android Automotive applications and platform solutions.
- Define technical solutions and drive architecture decisions for infotainment and digital cockpit platforms.
- Develop scalable, modular, and maintainable applications using modern Android development practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with automotive platforms, middleware, APIs, and vehicle data interfaces.
- Drive technical governance through design reviews, code reviews, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and guide development teams while promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Optimize application performance through profiling, debugging, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Ensure software quality through testing, static code analysis, CI/CD practices, and validation processes.




- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, evaluate technical solutions, and define technology roadmaps.
- Support project planning, technical risk assessment, and successful project execution within defined timelines.

Mandatory Skills

- 8-12 years of experience in Android application development, including significant experience in Android Automotive or automotive infotainment systems.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Components, dependency injection, and modern Android application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, modular application development, and scalable software design.
- Experience in automotive software platforms, vehicle data integration, system services, and hardware-software interaction.
- Strong knowledge of API integration, middleware communication, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Inter-Process Communication (IPC).
- Experience developing infotainment systems, Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications, and reusable UI frameworks.
- Solid experience in application performance optimization, debugging, profiling, and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis, testing, validation, and software quality management.
- Experience working on connected vehicle solutions, infotainment platforms, or digital cockpit systems.
- Proven experience in solution architecture, technical leadership, stakeholder management, customer engagement, and mentoring engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Exposure to Embedded Linux, Android Automotive OS (AAOS), or automotive middleware is an added advantage.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
