Position Summary

The BusinessObjects (BoBJ) Developer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the SAP BusinessObjects reporting environment This role ensures continuity of scheduled reports, universes, and dashboards used across health plan, delivery system, and enabling functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance SAP BusinessObjects reports, universes, Web Intelligence (WebI) documents, and Crystal Reports
- Manage production support for BoBJ environment including scheduled jobs, report bursting, and distribution lists
- Perform L1/L2 incident triage including report failures, data refresh issues, access problems, and scheduling errors
- Execute small-ticket enhancements and report modifications within defined SLA turnaround targets
- Administer BusinessObjects Central Management Console (CMC) including user accounts, groups, roles, and security
- Coordinate with data pipeline teams on upstream data changes that impact BoBJ universes and reports
- Document report logic, universe structures, and operational runbooks to support knowledge transfer and cross-training




- Support manual extract modifications and report distribution/listserv administration as part of transition to automation
- Track and manage all work through ServiceNow, maintaining accurate backlog, classification, and status

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of hands-on SAP BusinessObjects development experience (Web Intelligence, Universe Designer/IDT, CMC)
- Proficiency in SQL (DB2 or SQL Server) for universe design and custom query development
- Experience with BoBJ scheduling, publication, and report distribution workflows
- Ability to work in regulated, compliance-sensitive environments (healthcare preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across report, universe, data, and access layers
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow or equivalent) for ticket management

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in healthcare analytics supporting health plan or hospital operations reporting
- Knowledge of AWS-hosted data environments post on-premises migration
- Familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools as part of a mixed analytics environment
- Experience with SAS or IBM DataStage in an enterprise data pipeline context
- SAP BusinessObjects certification (e.g., C_BOWI_43 or equivalent)
- Experience supporting self-service enablement and end-user training on BoBJ platforms
