Role Overview

The Grade 4 (L4) Windows Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Concierto project is responsible for leading Windows server administration, cloud migration, modernization, and automation initiatives across hybrid and cloud platforms. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server operations, troubleshooting, scripting, and enterprise-scale cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as L4 Windows SME supporting Concierto-led infrastructure modernization and migration programs.
- Perform end-to-end Windows Server administration including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
- Manage Windows Server backup and restore operations ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
- Lead OS-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex Windows incidents.
- Plan and execute cloud migrations from on-premises to AWS and Azure environments.
- Design and manage Windows-based IaaS workloads across Azure and AWS.
- Execute VMware-based workload migrations and modernization activities.
- Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell scripting and CLI tools.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices in collaboration with platform and application teams.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and release management.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant Windows, Azure, or AWS certifications are preferred.

Experience

8-12 years of overall IT infrastructure experience with at least 4-6 years in an L4 / senior Windows SME role supporting enterprise and cloud environments.

Nice to Have

- Azure or AWS professional certifications
- Experience with Concierto or similar enterprise transformation platforms
- Robust documentation, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills
