- Knowledge in import documentation (Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, insurance certificates)
- Familiarity with INCOTERMS, HS codes, customs tariffs, and duty structures
- Knowledge of DGFT policies, EXIM procedures, and RBI guidelines
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools
- Excellent coordination skills with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and banks
- Ability to manage import schedules, shipment tracking, and documentation accuracy
- Solid negotiation skills for freight rates, supplier terms, and duty optimization
- Analytical ability to handle costing, landed price calculations, and duty drawback schemes
- Effective communication skills for liaising with overseas suppliers and internal teams
- Ensure adherence to customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, and import licensing requirements
- Monitor changes in trade policies, tariffs, and government notifications
- Ensure timely clearance of shipments. Prepare MIS reports on import performance, costs, and timelines
