Position: Import Export Executive: Logistics

Job Summary

An Import Export Executive is responsible for managing customs clearance activities, preparing import/export documentation, coordinating with customs authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with government regulations for smooth movement of cargo.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, and shipping bills.
- Coordinate customs clearance processes with customs officials and regulatory authorities.
- Classify goods under appropriate HS Codes and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Arrange filing of Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, and other customs-related documents.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, transporters, and warehouse operators.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, GST, and other applicable regulations.
- Track duty payments, exemptions, licenses, and permits.




- Resolve shipment delays, customs queries, and documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain records of imports, exports, and clearance activities.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of customs procedures and import/export regulations.
- Understanding of shipping and logistics documentation.
- Familiarity with, customs portals, and EXIM processes.
- Solid communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in import-export operations, customs clearance, or CHA activities.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs laws is preferred.
