Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced EHS Officer / Executive to oversee Safety, Health, and Environmental (EHS) compliance in our Kitchen Appliance manufacturing facility. The role requires handson shop floor involvement, robust statutory knowledge, and the ability to enforce safety discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management

- Implement EHS policies, SOPs, and safety procedures on shop floor
- Identify hazards related to power presses, laser cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and material handling
- Conduct HIRA / Risk Assessments and implement control measures
- Ensure machine safety systems: machine guarding, interlocks, LOTO
- Monitor PPE compliance
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, contractor safety training
- Investigate accidents / near misses and implement CAPA

Industrial Health

- Ensure occupational health compliance and medical surveillance
- Monitor exposure to noise, fumes, dust, welding smoke, and chemicals
- Support 5S and ergonomic safety practices

Environmental Management

- Ensure compliance with CPCB / SPCB norms
- Manage hazardous and nonhazardous waste (scrap, oil, chemicals, Ewaste)
- Maintain records: Hazardous Waste, PWM, EPR, manifests




- Coordinate with authorized waste disposal vendors

Statutory & Audit Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, OSH Code, Environmental Protection Act, Fire Safety norms
- Prepare statutory reports and support inspections
- Coordinate with Factory Inspector, Fire Department, Pollution Control Board
- Support ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 / ESG / BRSR audits

Emergency & Fire Safety

- Maintain firefighting systems and emergency equipment
- Conduct mock drills and maintain onsite emergency plans

Preferred candidate profile

Education (Any one):

- B.Sc. Chemistry / Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Technology with 5 years experience, OR
- M.Sc. Chemistry / Degree in Chemical Engineering / Technology with 2 years experience

Experience must be in process operation & maintenance in chemical or manufacturing industry (Home Appliance preferred)
