Job Summary

Serve as an Infra Architect specializing in PostgreSql Administration designing secure scalable and resilient database infrastructure for complex enterprise environments in a hybrid work model applying over twelve years of experience to optimize performance reliability and compliance while aligning database solutions with business outcomes and long term technology strategy.

Responsibilities

- Design robust PostgreSql infrastructure architectures that align with enterprise standards and business needs while ensuring high availability fault tolerance and scalability for critical applications
- Oversee installation configuration and lifecycle management of PostgreSql database instances across on premises and cloud environments within the hybrid work model
- Optimize database performance by tuning queries indexes configuration parameters and resource usage to consistently meet agreed service levels and response time targets
- Implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSql environments to safeguard data integrity and ensure reliable restoration during incidents and planned exercises
- Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation including topology diagrams configuration baselines and standard operating procedures for PostgreSql platforms
- Coordinate capacity planning activities by analyzing growth trends forecasting storage and compute needs and recommending infrastructure upgrades or consolidation strategies
- Establish and enforce database security baselines including role design access control encryption configurations and audit practices in line with enterprise governance policies
- Collaborate closely with application teams to review data models support schema design and validate that database usage patterns align with architectural guidelines and performance objectives




- Drive incident resolution for complex database and infrastructure problems by performing root cause analysis and implementing durable corrective actions that prevent recurrence
- Guide automation efforts for routine PostgreSql administration tasks by defining requirements for scripts and tools that improve consistency reduce manual effort and lower operational risk
- Engage in change planning and impact assessment for database related initiatives to ensure that deployments are executed safely without disrupting business critical services
- Mentor junior database and infrastructure professionals by sharing architectural patterns operational best practices and lessons learned from large scale PostgreSql implementations
- Partner with cybersecurity compliance and audit stakeholders to ensure database infrastructure adheres to regulatory expectations and internal risk management frameworks

Qualifications

- Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in PostgreSql administration including installation configuration patching and performance tuning across enterprise scale environments
- Apply deep knowledge of high availability techniques such as clustering replication and failover configurations to design resilient PostgreSql solutions for business critical systems
- Exhibit solid proficiency in Linux based server environments and storage concepts that underpin reliable and optimized PostgreSql infrastructure operations
- Utilize solid understanding of scripting and automation practices to streamline operational workflows for monitoring maintenance and health checks in PostgreSql estates
- Show proven experience working in hybrid infrastructure models that combine on premises data centers and cloud platforms while maintaining consistent database architecture standards
- Display strong analytical and problem solving abilities to diagnose complex database and infrastructure issues and translate findings into actionable engineering improvements
- Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to explain architectural decisions tradeoffs and the business impact of database solutions
