Role & Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily transportation schedules for Canadian logistics operations.
- Coordinate with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, route issues, and operational challenges.
- Prepare and manage dispatch plans, load assignments, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure productive utilization of trucks, drivers, and available resources.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, updates, and service requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and operational reports.
- Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to improve delivery performance and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Handle urgent operational issues and provide quick solutions to maintain service quality.
- Analyze logistics data and suggest improvements for route planning and workflow efficiency.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- Experience as a Logistics Planner, Transportation Coordinator, Dispatcher, or similar role in the logistics/trucking industry.
- Knowledge of Canadian logistics operations, transportation networks, and freight processes.
- Strong understanding of route planning, scheduling, and load optimization.
- Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch software, or logistics platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience with Canadian trucking, freight brokerage, or fleet operations will be an advantage.
