Job Summary:
Creative and technically strong CAD Designer with experience in woven home textiles for the US market to develop woven constructions, jacquards, dobbies, yarn-dyed designs and production-ready CADs. Works closely with design, merchandising and product development teams to translate buyer briefs and trend forecasts into commercially viable products. Requires hands-on expertise across bedding, curtains, upholstery and table linen, an understanding of current home textile trends, and experience working with US retailers and brands.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop innovative woven fabric designs, including jacquards, dobby weaves, yarn-dyes and textured constructions.
- Create production-ready CAD artwork, repeats, weave layouts and colorways.
- Translate buyer briefs and trend forecasts into commercially viable products.
- Work closely with merchandising, sampling and production teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Prepare technical specifications and maintain accurate design documentation.




- Develop seasonal collections for bedding, curtains, upholstery, table linen and other home textile categories.
- Stay updated on US market trends, colors, constructions and consumer preferences.
- Support sample development and incorporate buyer feedback into final designs.

Job Specifications:
Educational Requirement: -

- Bachelor degree or diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.

Work Experience Requirement: -

- 5-10 years of experience in CAD designing for woven home textiles, with strong knowledge of woven constructions, jacquards, dobbies, yarn-dyes and weave developments. Experience working with US retailers/brands is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and textile CAD software such as NedGraphics, Pointcarre or similar. Strong understanding of weaving processes and fabric development, excellent color sense, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously. Experience working with buyers such as Target, Walmart, TJX, Costco, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma or other US home furnishing retailers will be an added advantage.
