Position Summary:

KPC Projects Limited is looking for a Senior Architect with strong production-phase design experience to lead architectural design and working drawing development across contract-based projects. The candidate will be responsible for translating design intent into construction-ready documentation, coordinating with consultants and site teams, and ensuring drawings and BOQs are technically accurate, contractually compliant, and delivered on schedule. Exposure to multiple building types commercial, institutional, residential, mixed-use, or transit/infrastructure-linked developments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design & Documentation: Lead architectural design development from concept through production/working drawing stage for multiple concurrent projects and building typologies.
- Prepare and review GFC (Good-for-Construction) drawings plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, detailing — ensuring coordination with structural, MEP, and other services.
- Contract & BOQ: Generate and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) — itemwise, lump sum, or coefficient-based — in line with project contract terms and CPWD/IS code standards.
- Interpret contract documents, scope of work, and drawing deliverable schedules; flag deviations or non-compliance in consultant/vendor submissions.
- Support commercial and technical evaluation of design variations, extra items, and BOQ reconciliations during execution.
- Coordination: Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and specialist consultants to resolve design clashes and maintain drawing issue schedules.
- Liaise with site teams, project management, and contractors to address site queries (RFIs) and ensure drawings remain buildable and up to date.
- Team & Quality: Review and guide the work of junior architects and draughtspersons; ensure quality control on all outgoing drawings and documentation.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and documentation standards across projects.
- BIM/Revit (Desirable):



Work within Revit/BIM workflows where applicable — model-based coordination, clash detection, and drawing extraction from BIM models.
- Support adoption of BIM-based documentation practices across the design team where projects are BIM-mandated.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural practice, with demonstrated exposure to at least 2–3 distinct building typologies (e.g., commercial, residential, institutional, retail, transit, industrial).
- Proven experience taking projects through production/working drawing stage — not concept/design-only experience.
- Solid working knowledge of contract-based project delivery: reading and working within consultancy/EPC contract scopes, deliverable schedules, and drawing submission protocols.
- Hands-on capability in BOQ generation and quantity take-offs, with an understanding of Indian construction cost and measurement standards.
- Working familiarity with Indian codes and standards — NBC, relevant IS codes, CPWD guidelines; awareness of statutory approval processes (municipal/authority approvals) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit/BIM is appreciated (model navigation, sheet/view setup, basic family and parameter handling).
- Ability to independently manage drawing packages under deadline pressure across more than one live project.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to work across design, contracts, and site execution teams.

Preferred / Good to Have:

- Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) credential in Revit Architecture or BIM Management, or equivalent BIM certification.
- Prior experience in an EPC, government, or PSU project environment (e.g., railway, township, or infrastructure-linked developments).
- Familiarity with BIM execution plans (BEP), model coordination workflows, and common data environments (CDE/ACC).
- Exposure to GRIHA/green building documentation requirements.

Qualification:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch) from a recognized institution; Council of Architecture (CoA) registration mandatory.
