Role & responsibilities

- Perform metallurgical testing on ferrous and non-ferrous materials as per ASTM, ISO standards.
- Carry out microstructure examination using metallurgical microscopes.
- Perform Grain Size Analysis, Inclusion Rating, Case Depth, Decarburization, Ferrite Content, Weld Examination, and Macro & Micro Examination.
- Conduct failure analysis and identify the root cause of material failures.
- Prepare and review metallurgical test reports.
- Handle testing of critical samples and ensure accurate test results.
- Ensure all testing is carried out as per NABL, ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory procedures.
- Maintain metallurgical testing equipment and ensure proper record keeping.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams for smooth execution of testing work.

Preferred candidate profile





- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering.
- 03 to 12 years of experience in metallurgical testing / material testing laboratories.
- Hands-on experience in metallography, microstructure analysis, failure analysis, and metallurgical testing.
- Knowledge of NABL / ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory requirements will be an added advantage.
