Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leveraging our SAP (Production management system) R+ tool and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency, optimize material costs, and identify actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires the person to work with the manufacturing supply chain team to ensure smooth functioning of manufacturing and good in analyzing datasets, identifying trends, and presenting recommendations to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Travel to factories and warehouses will be included as the role requirement to understand ground realities / challenges of the operations team.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Adoption Utilization of R+ SAP tool
- Ensure operations teams are using the tool effectively
- Maintain data hygiene in coordination with the team
- Responsible for maintaining data masters
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize capacity utilization, production planning, and customer service efficiency.
Data Analysis Insights :
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operations datasets to evaluate production efficiency and performance.
- Work with business to understand the reporting needs/ KPI
- Propose actionable steps to reduce overall costs, particularly focusing on material cost.
1. Production Performance improvement:
- Recommend additional data points or metrics for tracking production performance and explain their importance.
- Develop dashboards or reporting frameworks to enable real-time insights into production operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain to support production strategy development.
Reporting Presentation :
- Prepare detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations for stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Monitor and measure the outcomes of implemented strategies against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications :
- Education : Tier-1 engineering background
- Prior Experience :
- Worked on some analytics tools, know-how of preparing dashboards and presentations for business analysis, manufacturing logistics optimisation.
- Prior experience in logistics network analysis and cost optimization will be a plus though not mandatory
- Technical Skills :
- Well versed in Excel, Power BI and other reporting tools
- Understanding of manufacturing (operations).
- Soft Skills :
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Robust communication and presentation skills for translating analytical findings into actionable insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in predictive modeling and simulation for production optimization.
- Knowledge of production management software and tools
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles in manufacturing
