Role Summary
Key strategic role to assist MD directly on all commercial, tendering, legal, and costing matters. Youll be the MDs commercial brain for mining tenders, contract risk, and P&L; protection. Single point for coordination between MD, Legal, Finance & Operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mines Tendering MDs War Room
Must have deep knowledge of mines tendering Coal, Iron Ore, MDO, OB removal, transportation
Lead end-to-end bid process for Govt/PSU tenders: eligibility, site visits, pre-bid, strategy, submission
Prepare notes for MD on bid/no-bid decisions, risk matrix, competitor analysis
2. Strong Drafting & Legal Knowledge of Tender
Robust drafting skills Pre-bid queries, deviations, MoU, JV, LoA, contract agreements, claims
Must have legal knowledge of tender NIT, GCC, SCC, LD, termination, arbitration, EOT clauses
Vet all commercial & legal documents before MD sign-off. Brief MD on contractual risks
3. Costing & Commercial Strategy
Build detailed costing models HEMM productivity, manpower, overheads
Work with Finance to ensure margin protection, cash flow, IRR.



Challenge estimates from Ops team
Support MD in final price approval & negotiation strategy with clients
4. Cross Functional Coordination MDs Command Centre
Single window for Legal, Finance & Site Operations* resolve issues, fast-track decisions
Lead claim management, rate revisions, EOT, disputes. Draft letters to clients after MD review
Track RA bills, BG, SD, insurance, Payment receivables to different . Escalate bottlenecks to MD with solutions
5. MIS Reporting to MDs
-Direct MIS reporting to MD Daily/weekly dashboard: tender pipeline, win/loss, order book, LD exposure, cash flow, claims status. Payment follow up & out standing.
Prepare board notes, presentation decks, decision papers for MD
Maintain confidential commercial data & minutes of MDs meetings with clients/partners

Must Have Requirements
15-20 yrs in Mining/Minimum 8 yrs in mines, beneficiations , manufacturing co
Proven experience assisting Promoters/MDs* on high-value tenders & commercial decisions
Expert in tender law, contract drafting, costing, claims. Hands-on with CMPDIL, CIL, NLC, NMDC, OMC tenders
BE/BTech + MBA/LLB preferred
