Khatib & Alami is seeking a skilled CAD Engineer / Senior CAD Engineer to join our Roads & Highways team in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality engineering drawings and CAD deliverables for road, highway, and infrastructure projects in accordance with international standards and client requirements. The role requires close coordination with design engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings for roads, highways, intersections, utilities, and related infrastructure projects.
- Develop plans, profiles, cross-sections, grading plans, and construction details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Produce high-quality CAD drawings in compliance with project standards, company procedures, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, BIM teams, and other disciplines to incorporate design changes and resolve drawing-related issues.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, complete,
and issued within project schedules.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and document management procedures.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of drawing packages for tender and construction.
- Follow CAD standards, quality assurance procedures, and best drafting practices.
- Mentor junior CAD technicians (Senior CAD Engineer role).
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- CAD Engineer: 48 years of relevant experience.
- Senior CAD Engineer: 8–12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Roads & Highways design consultancy is mandatory.
- Middle East project experience will be an added advantage.
Required Technical Skills
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred)
- Familiarity with road design standards and drafting convention
