Role & responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dairy farm to ensure maximum productivity and profitability.
- Supervise all farm employees, assign daily tasks, and monitor work performance.
- Oversee herd management, including feeding, breeding, milking, and animal welfare.
- Ensure proper implementation of vaccination, deworming, and herd health programs in coordination with the farm veterinarian.
- Monitor milk production, milk quality, and key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement improvement plans.
- Plan and manage cattle nutrition with the nutritionist to improve milk yield, fertility, and overall herd health.
- Supervise breeding programs, artificial insemination (AI), pregnancy diagnosis, calving, and calf management.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of milking equipment, farm machinery, and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of milk production, breeding, treatments, feed consumption, inventory, and farm expenses.
- Prepare production reports and present farm performance to management.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)



for all farm activities.
- Ensure compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage feed inventory, medicines, farm supplies, and procurement activities.
- Monitor farm budgets and control operating costs while improving efficiency.
- Coordinate fodder production, feed storage, and forage quality management.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate farm employees to improve productivity and maintain a protected working environment.
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions to improve farm performance.
- Coordinate with veterinarians, nutritionists, consultants, suppliers, and government authorities as required.

- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make timely operational decisions.
- Willing to relocate and reside near the farm location if required.
