Lead Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to join our team. You'll play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling modern web applications while working closely with other developers, product managers, and designers.

Your day-to-day work will centre on our production codebase, a TypeScript stack with a React client and a Supabase-based backend (Postgres, Edge Functions, Auth) in an event-driven cloud environment, with AWS services running behind the scenes.

We are an AI-first engineering team: AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Codex are an integral, everyday part of how we design, build, review, and ship software. We expect every developer on the team to work this way; this is a core part of the role, not an optional extra.

Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, primarily within our existing codebase.
- Work in an AI-first development setting: use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Codex, and similar) as an integral part of your daily workflow to design, build, review, and ship code faster and at higher quality.
- Implement clean, reusable, and well-documented code in TypeScript.
- Build and maintain backend functionality on Supabase, including:
- Postgres database (including row-level security)
- Edge Functions
- Authentication & Access Control
- Storage
- Realtime





- Develop and integrate event-driven architecture using messaging.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and advocate for best practices, including how AI is used effectively and responsibly within engineering workflows.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise application performance and system reliability.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
- AI-first mindset (Must):
- Hands-on, daily experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Experience using AI for planning, implementation, code reviews, debugging, and development workflows.
- Genuine interest in integrating AI/LLM capabilities into products and engineering processes.

- Strong proficiency in:

- React.js (Redux and Hooks)
- TypeScript
- Modern frontend development practices

- Solid backend development experience with:

- Node.js
- TypeScript

- Working familiarity with AWS services such as:

- Lambda
- SQS
- CloudWatch
- DynamoDB
- S3

- Comfortable navigating logs, queues, and serverless functions to troubleshoot issues end-to-end.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
