Brief about the Organisation:

Keld Ellentoft India Private Limited (KELD) is multi-product

company specialized in the design and manufacture of high-

quality Industrial Dampers, Non-Metallic & Metallic Expansion

Joints. These are Engineer-To-Order products based on

customers operating parameters and needs. KELD is a family-owned, professionally managed company whose strength lies in the engineering capabilities of our staff enabling us to cater to the customer's specialized needs. Purpose of the Job (Contribution by this job to the organisation)

This position involves a focused approach to core quality control, assurance and fabrication inspection / testing activities of the company.

Scope / Impact (Areas where the job will have direct impact on)

Rework reduction, quality of product, process control, controlling customer complaint.

Broad Role & Responsibility (State the role this job plays in the organisation)

1. Incoming inspection: Ensure all raw material and bought-out items are inspected as per process.

2. In-process inspection: Co-ordinate with PRO and PRJ to carry out all in-process inspection as applicable.

3. Final inspection and customer co-ordination: Carry out final inspection of the product. Co-ordinate with them to ensure smooth clearance of the product.



If there are any punch points, ensure these are cleared promptly.

4. Job documentation: Ensure the documentation is done as per the job requirement and is submitted in a timely manner.

5. Vendor approval: Carry out vendor inspection to certify/re- certify vendors.

6. Vendor quality rating: Ensure appropriate data is captured for every job executed to be able to rate vendors on a regular frequency.

Knowledge & Skills (Skilled Knowledge & skill required to perform this job)

Essential Knowledge:

- Knowledge of metals (mainly various grades of steel).

- Knowledge of various inspection / testing method for the process including welding.

- Knowledge of process standard (welding, blasting, painting)

- Calibration and records

- Knowledge of acceptance criteria.

- Vendor evaluation

Desired Knowledge:

- Damper operation /efficiency testing

Competency (Competencies required to perform this job effectively - Organisation core competency)

Functional:

- Prepare QAP for the jobs.

- Execute the inspection activities at all stages.

- Welding methods and typical welding errors.

- Analyse / control of rework through CFT.

Behavioural:

- Amiable - ability to get work done from functional colleagues

- Attention to detail (especially in product quality)

- Ability to lead the customer and third-party inspection.

Preferred Industry:

Industrial Dampers / Expansion Joints / Light Engineering / Ducting / Fan Manufacturers / Boiler Manufacturers / Structural (General) Fabrication.
