Role & responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, fryers, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ice machines and steamers.
- Burner servicing experience.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen appliances and mechanical systems.
- Install new kitchen equipment and ensure proper setup and operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing and refrigeration issues.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.
- Replace defective parts, wiring, thermostats, motors, valves and other components.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdown calls and provide timely onsite service.
- Maintain service records, work orders and maintenance logs.




- Communicate with kitchen staff or clients regarding equipment issues and repair status.
- Keep tools, spare parts and service vehicles organized and stocked.

Preferred candidate profile

- High school diploma or ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration or related field.
- Experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair or appliance servicing.
- Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, gas systems, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, testing instruments and diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle emergency service calls.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
