Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Sales & Application Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background and 5-10 years of experience in industrial or technical sales. The role involves promoting advanced welding solutions and building long-term customer relationships across the Chhattisgarh region.
This is a field-based position, ideal for candidates who are self-motivated and comfortable working remotely while actively meeting customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales for special high end Welding Consumable, Thermal Spray Powder & Welding Equipments.
- Identify and develop new customers in fabrication shops, OEMs, and industrial sectors.
- Understand customer applications and recommend suitable welding or coating solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions with clients.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and follow up on inquiries.
- Achieve sales targets and expand market share in the assigned territory.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key decision-makers.
- Coordinate with principals and internal teams for technical and commercial support.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in technical sales / industrial sales.
- Good understanding of welding processes, consumables, and industrial equipment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field sales role.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel across the Eastern region.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the welding industry (consumables, equipment, or thermal spray).
- Exposure to industries like fabrication, shipbuilding, heavy engineering, steel, cement, or power.
- Familiarity with brands/principals in welding or coating technologies.
