Position: Site Supervisor / Project Manager Fire Detection & Alarm System (Bosch)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / MEP manager to lead the on-site execution of a Bosch Fire Detection System installation project at our facility in Gopalpur, Odisha. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end site management from planning and material coordination to installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover — ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with fire safety codes and Bosch technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

- Study project drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications for the Bosch fire detection and alarm system (FDAS).
- Prepare site execution plans, work schedules, and manpower/material deployment plans.
- Coordinate with the client, consultants, Bosch technical team/OEM representatives, and subcontractors.
- Track project milestones and report progress to management on a regular basis.

Site Supervision & Installation Management

- Supervise day-to-day installation activities including conduiting, cabling, panel installation, detector/device mounting, and field wiring as per approved drawings.
- Ensure installation work complies with Bosch technical guidelines, NBC (National Building Code), NFPA/local fire safety norms, and client specifications.
- Monitor workmanship quality of technicians, electricians, and installation crew; ensure adherence to approved shop drawings and IS/NFPA standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain site progress records/photographs.

Material & Resource Management

- Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of Bosch FDAS components (panels, detectors, hooters,



MCPs, cables, etc.) with stores/procurement team.
- Maintain material inward/outward registers, stock reconciliation, and wastage control at site.
- Manage manpower deployment, labor productivity, and subcontractor performance.

Testing, Commissioning & Documentation

- Coordinate pre-commissioning checks, loop testing, device addressing, and system integration testing.
- Support Bosch OEM engineers/certified technicians during final commissioning and system handover.
- Prepare and maintain documentation: daily progress reports (DPR), test & commissioning reports, as-built drawings, punch lists, and O&M; manuals.
- Ensure all statutory approvals/NOCs related to fire safety systems are supported with proper documentation.

Safety & Compliance

- Enforce site safety protocols (PPE usage, work permits, height work safety, electrical safety) in line with EHS policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure zero-incident execution at site.
- Ensure compliance with local fire department regulations and obtain necessary clearances/inspections as required.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the client and consultants.
- Address site queries, resolve execution issues, and manage change requests/variations.
- Support billing/RA bill preparation based on work completion status.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation,



or Fire & Safety Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience: 5–10 years in supervision/project management of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (FDAS), with hands-on experience in Bosch fire alarm systems strongly preferred (experience with other brands such as Honeywell, Siemens, Notifier will also be considered).
- Proven track record of managing fire/electrical system installation projects from design/handover through commissioning.
- Prior experience working on industrial, commercial, or infrastructure project sites is highly desirable.
- Experience working in or willingness to relocate to Gopalpur, Odisha (or nearby Odisha locations).

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of fire detection & alarm system design principles, wiring practices, and Bosch panel programming/addressing (preferred).
- Familiarity with NBC, NFPA 72, IS codes, and local fire safety regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/fire system drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office/MS Project; working knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Solid site coordination, team handling, and vendor/subcontractor management skills.
- Good communication skills (English/Hindi/Odia preferred) for coordinating with client, consultants, and workforce.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently at a remote site location.

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

- Bosch Fire Alarm System training/certification.
- NFPA / Fire & Safety certification.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) — optional but an advantage.

Work Location & Conditions

- Full-time on-site position at the project site in Gopalpur, Odisha.
- May require extended working hours during critical installation/commissioning phases.
