Job Overview

- Position Title: Planning Engineer - MPR/CPR

- Department: Production

- Hiring Source Channel: New Position

- Reports To: Manager - CPR & MPR

- Work Location: Dobaspete, Bangalore

General Purpose

UCAM is looking for dynamic Planning Engineers to assist engineering teams in completing projects on time. You will devise strategies, calculate material and labor costs, evaluate crew performance, oversee compliance with health and safety laws, and maintain open lines of communication. When necessary, you will also analyze data, produce reports, and deliver presentations.

Main & Essential Tasks
Planning & Scheduling

- Schedule Creation: Preparation of monthly material, purchase, and production schedules.

- Assembly Coordination: Formulating and implementing assembly scheduling to keep operations smooth.

- Forecasting: Planning, controlling, and forecasting production troubleshooting points.

Cost & Efficiency Management

- Operational Savings: Driving highly efficient operations to maximize cost savings.

- Design & PED Collaboration: Coordinating with Design and Production Engineering (PED) teams to source cost-effective raw materials right up to the implementation stage.





Vendor & Customer Relations

- Vendor Performance: Actively tracking and maintaining vendor delivery performance.

- Product Development: Catering to evolving customer needs by helping develop recent products.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

- QA Systems: Implementing robust quality control systems.

- Lead Time Reduction: Formulating and executing annual strategies to reduce production lead times.

- Plant Optimization: Getting actively involved in Continuous Improvement Plant initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Academic Background: BE Mechanical Engineering (Preferred Major)

- Work Experience: Freshers OR 2 to 3 years of experience

- Preferred Industry: Manufacturing Industry
