Our client is a rapid-growing component sourcing and manufacturing company, backed by leading VC firms in India. The company specializes in custom metal manufacturing and partners with India’s MSME manufacturing network to serve global customers across industries such as Infrastructure, Mining, Automotive, and Defence.

Position: Business & Category Manager – Fasteners & Fittings

Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Work From Office

Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and scale the Fasteners & Fittings business from the ground up, owning the complete P&L.;

* Drive domestic and export business development by acquiring new customers and managing the full sales cycle.

* Develop pricing strategies and cost models while ensuring competitive margins.

* Identify, onboard, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

* Maintain customer pipeline, pricing history, supplier data, and business performance reports.

* Work closely with leadership to define growth strategy and expand the product category.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business,



or a related field (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering preferred).

* 5–7 years of experience in Business Development, Category Management, or Inside Sales within the Fasteners & Fittings or Industrial Products industry.

* Hands-on experience in export business development, RFQs, pricing, sourcing, and supplier management.

* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to independently manage pricing and sourcing decisions.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pricing/data analysis tools.

Preferred:

* Experience in building or scaling a new product category or business line.

* Existing network of export customers and suppliers in the Fasteners & Fittings industry.

* Prior experience owning revenue targets, P&L;, or business unit performance.
