Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, operational excellence, and team development across the assigned retail stores. The role involves ensuring consistent execution of company standards, achieving sales and profitability targets, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and leading store teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the assigned stores located in Gurgaon and Punjabi Bagh.
- Ensure effective implementation of business strategies, operational standards, and company policies across both locations.
- Drive store sales by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Conversion Rate, Average Transaction Value (ATV), Units Per Transaction (UPT), and Footfall Conversion.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers and retail teams to enhance productivity, customer service, and overall performance.
- Conduct regular store visits to review operational efficiency, visual merchandising, inventory management, customer service standards, and store presentation.
- Monitor stock availability and inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing stock loss through effective inventory control.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and in-store events to maximize business opportunities.
- Review store performance reports, analyze sales trends, and implement action plans to improve revenue and profitability.




- Resolve customer concerns and escalations promptly while ensuring a premium shopping experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational SOPs, statutory requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Buying, Warehouse, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless store operations.
- Identify business opportunities within the assigned territory and recommend strategies to drive growth and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or any related discipline.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in retail sales and operations, with a minimum of 2 years managing multiple retail stores.
- Prior experience in premium retail, baby & kids, lifestyle, fashion, or consumer retail will be preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage store-level profitability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems, inventory management, retail MIS, and operational reporting.
- Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and implement improvement strategies.
- Willingness to travel regularly between Gurgaon and Punjabi Bagh stores as part of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing multiple retail stores within a designated territory.
- Knowledge of premium baby and children's product categories.
- Experience in new store launches, retail expansion, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail ERP/POS systems.

Good to Have

• Prior experience managing a large-format retail store (5,000+ sq. ft.)

• Familiarity with premium baby or children's product categories
