Position Overview

Job Purpose

The Security Manager will be entirely responsible for Designing, Implementing, and Supervising a comprehensive Security and Life-safety Program for our 600-bed Multi and Super-specialty Hospital Campus, including the on-site Blood Bank. This role demands a Strategic Leader who can manage a large team of Outsourced Security Personnel, mitigate Institutional Risks, maintain Zero-tolerance Vulnerabilities, and oversee Advanced Safety and Surveillance Infrastructure (CCTV, Access Control, Fire & Life Safety systems).

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Team Leadership

- Guard Force Management: Supervise, Train, and Audit the performance of the Security Supervisor Team and Guards (covering 24/7 shifts). Ensure Optimal Deployment across Critical Junctions (Main Gates, ER, Casualty, Blood Bank, OPD, ICUs, Cash Counters, etc).
- Asset & Consumables: Formulate and implement procedures for Inward & Outward of Assets and Valuable Consumables to monitor and govern against Theft & Pilferage.
- Budgeting & Governance: Conduct budgeting exercise & Govern / Monitor Budget Expenditure on Security & related expenses
- Crowd & Access Control: Formulate and enforce strict Visitor Management Policies, restricting unauthorized access to critical Super-specialty Wings and Sterile Zones.
- Emergency Response Plan: Formulate and keep updated the Emergency Response Plan and Train the relevant Teams. Conduct Mock drills within and periodically involving external ER departments like Fire, etc.
- Incident Management: Serve as the Primary Commander for Security Breaches, Thefts, Vandalism, or Patient-relative Conflicts.



Lead swift De-escalation Protocols and carry out rigorous Root-cause Investigations.
- Liaisoning: Maintain active, healthy relationships with Local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, and Civic Regulatory Bodies for smooth Emergency Coordination.

2. Infrastructure & Surveillance Management

- CCTV & Command Centre: Oversee the Hospitals Central Security Command Centre. Ensure 100% uptime of CCTV cameras, monitor Blind Spots, manage Video Storage Compliance, and implement Real-time Analytics for Threat Detection.
- Access Control Systems (ACS): Manage Biometric, RFID, and Smart-card Systems, ensuring High-security areas like the Blood Bank, Pharmacies, Neonatal units, and Server Rooms have strictly logged entry protocols.
- Perimeter & Physical Security: Routinely audit Physical Barriers, Gates, Boom Barriers, Baggage Scanners, and Parking Management Systems to prevent Unauthorized Activities & Entry.

3. Healthcare Safety & Statutory Compliance

- Blood Bank & Cold Chain Protection: Implement Specialized Security Layers for the on-site Blood Bank to protect Vital Inventory, Prevent Theft, and Secure Round-the-clock Donor/Recipient transit.
- Disaster Management & Fire Safety: Partner with the Facility Management Team to maintain Fire Hydrants, Smoke Detectors, and Alarm Panels. Conduct mandatory Mock Drills (Code Red, Code Pink for Infant Abduction, Code Black for Bomb Threats).
- Accreditation Readiness: Align all Security Operations with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) chapters on Facility Management and Safety (FMS).



Maintain impeccable Logs for all Safety Audits.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline. A certification in Security Management (e.g., CPP, ASIS) or Disaster Management is highly preferred.

- Experience:

- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in security operations, with at least 3 to 5 years in a 'Security Head' role within a Large-scale Hospital (Minimum 400+ beds).
- Alternative: Retired Commissioned Officers from the Indian Armed Forces, Paramilitary, or Police (Rank of Captain/Major or equivalent) with Corporate Healthcare Security exposure are highly encouraged to apply.

Technical & Core Competencies

- Surveillance Tech: Practical knowledge of IP-based CCTV systems, Video Management Software (VMS), and Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS).

- Healthcare Nuance: Transparent understanding of Healthcare-specific Risks, including Patient-relative Aggression, Mob Handling, and the sensitive nature of Emergency Care Units.

- Crisis Leadership: Proven capability to remain Calm, Authoritative, and Strategic during High-stress Situations or Disasters.

- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Marathi and Hindi. Speak & Understand of English. Familiarity with Local Regional Dialects is a major plus for managing Public Relations effectively.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Response Time: Time taken by the Security Team to respond to Internal Emergency Codes (e.g., Code Blue, Code Red, or Security Alerts).

- System Uptime: Maintenance of a greater than 99% Operational Rate for CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems.

- Audit Compliance: Zero Major Non-conformities during periodic NABH and Internal Safety Audits.

- Shrinkage & Loss Control: Minimum to Zero Instances of Pilferage, Asset Theft, or Unauthorized Intrusion within the premises.
