Role & responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

- Source and identify suitable vendors for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fabrication and industrial components
- Float RFQs and collect competitive quotations from multiple suppliers • Evaluate quotations based on cost, quality, delivery timelines and commercial terms
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and annual rate contracts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors

Purchase Planning

- Plan procurement based on production schedules, project requirements and inventory levels
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Stores and Project teams to understand material requirements
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays
- Monitor critical material shortages and proactively resolve supply issues

Supply Chain Coordination

- Track supplier commitments and follow up for on-time deliveries
- Coordinate with logistics partners and vendors for smooth material movement
- Monitor lead times and improve procurement efficiency




- Work towards reducing procurement costs while maintaining quality standards

Cost Optimization

- Identify alternate vendors and cost-saving opportunities
- Conduct periodic price comparisons and market analysis
- Recommend procurement improvements and sourcing strategies

Procurement Documentation

• Work on SAP for procurement planning, material tracking, vendor records and reporting

- Coordinate with the Purchase Coordinator for Purchase Order execution in SAP
- Maintain procurement records and MIS reports

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / Graduate in Engineering
- 3-6 years of experience in purchase and procurement, preferably in engineering, capital machinery, automation or manufacturing industries
- Hands-on working experience with SAP ERP is mandatory
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Good understanding of supply chain and inventory planning
- Ability to work with multiple departments and vendors
- Robust analytical and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
