- Testing: Conduct various tests on PVC wire and cable, PVC and Braided power cord samples according to relevant ISI and UL standards. These tests may include:
- Electrical Tests: Insulation resistance, dielectric withstand, voltage drop, conductor resistance.
- Physical Tests: Tensile strength, elongation, tear resistance, abrasion resistance, flexibility.
- Flammability Tests: Flame retardancy, flame propagation, smoke density.
- Environmental Tests: Temperature cycling, humidity resistance, UV resistance.
- Chemical Tests: Material composition analysis (if required).

- Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for testing, ensuring they meet the required dimensions and specifications.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting. Specific equipment may include tensile testers, environmental chambers, flammability testers, electrical testing equipment, etc.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test data, identify trends, and document results accurately.
- Report Generation: Prepare detailed test reports, including observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all testing activities are conducted in compliance with relevant ISI and UL standards ie IS 694,IS 1293, IS 9968 IEC, & UL 758 standards
- BIS inspection: Can able to conduct BIS inspection as per BIS requirement.
- Lab Management: Assist with general lab maintenance, including keeping the lab clean and organized, and managing inventory of supplies.
- Safety: Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all testing activities, including test reports, calibration records, and equipment maintenance logs.

- Quality Control Testing:
- Strong knowledge of IS 694:2010,



IS 1293:2019 and IS 9968:1988 & UL 758 standards.
- Oversee all laboratory activities, including raw material testing, in-process inspections, and finished goods testing.
- Conduct and supervise a variety of physical, chemical, and electrical tests on raw materials (e.g., PVC resin, copper conductor), intermediate products, and finished cables (e.g., tensile strength, elongation, insulation resistance, voltage withstand).
- Utilize and maintain laboratory equipment such as tensile testers, insulation resistance testers, high voltage testers, microscopes, and analytical balances.

- Quality Data Management:

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all test results and laboratory activities.
- Generate reports on product quality, test results, and any non-conformances.
- Analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Laboratory And instrument Management:

- Manage laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
- Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

- Quality Assurance:

- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for non-conformances.

- BIS Inspection: Good experience to conduct BIS inspection for product licenses and their renewal process
- Team Management:

- Supervise and guide laboratory technicians in their daily tasks.
- Train recent laboratory personnel on testing procedures and laboratory safety.

- Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards (e.g. ISI, UL & IEC) and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest testing standards and industry best practices.
