- Building robust relationships with the suppliers
- Ensure availability of materials on-time for the Vehicle Assembly
- Overseeing the procurement of materials and components, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues related to delivery or quality
- Managing inventory levels, Maintain safety stocks, forecasting material needs, and optimizing procurement strategies to minimize stock-outs and overstocking
- Collaborating with quality control to ensure purchased materials meet the necessary quality standards and technical specifications
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Continually improve the Supply chain issues, processes and procedures
Skill & Competency:
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and best procurement practices
- Proficiency in procurement software, tools, and ERP systems (MRP, ASN etc.)
- Technical knowledge of parts being sourced (Welding & Fabrication / Injection molding / Machining etc.)
- Strong Analytical and Communication skills
- Pro-active risk assessment and mitigation
