1. To take charge of the patients from the resident on night duty.

2. Ensure that all investigations are sent. Plan for any invasive procedure like CVP change, tracheostomy etc during day time.

3. Plan for feeding, IV fluids orders for next 24 hrs & monitor their administration.

4. To ensure Physiotherapy: 2-3 times during day, position change 2hrly & eye care in patients who require them.

5. Write daily progress notes & notes regarding any procedure performed upon patients.

6. Follow the investigations sent in morning and plan corrections & changes in treatment accordingly, after discussing with consultant incharge be followed. Antibiotics and other transfusion requirement are reviewed after this.

7. Plan for next days investigations, other than routine.

8. Follow any requisition for blood products sent during day time & all radiology requests.

9. Monitor Physiotherapy and change of position as advised.

Fill the order sheets for next days treatment and fluid orders

11. Feed / TPN orders to be given with breakup for Carbohydrates/ Proteins/ Fat.

12. Inform any incidence in the I.C.U. with mentioning to the incharge of the unit

13. Perform invasive procedure that are urgently required and are life saving

14. Ensure completion of patient records at the time of discharge.

15. Write notes on specified places on Round Sheet.

16. Resuscitation through Risk Stratification for all ages. (Basic Life Support).

17. Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement.

18. To formulate the Process Improvement programs and carry on Quality Initiatives in the department.

19. To perform all other jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
