Key Responsibilities

1. Project Phase (Execution)

Design, Execution & Installation:

- Support during detailed design to discipline lead.
- Equipment detailing / procurement support for package equipment
- Supervise installation of field instruments (flow, level, pressure, temperature)
• Supervise installation of control systems (PLC, SCADA, panels, JB, marshalling cabinets)
• Ensure cable laying, termination, and loop connectivity with electrical team
• Ensure compliance with control philosophy, interlocks, and cause-effect diagrams
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and hazardous area requirements
• Execute loop checks, calibration, and signal testing
• Support PLC/SCADA logic testing, FAT/SAT, and integrated commissioning
Documentation & Handover:
• Ensure as-built drawings (loop diagrams, JB layouts, instrument datasheets)
• Ensure control logic backups, software documentation, and vendor manuals
• Close all punch points

B. Transition Phase

- Take over automation and instrumentation systems from project team
• Verify completeness of drawings, software backups, and manuals
• Prepare calibration plan, PM plan,



and critical spare strategy
• Ensure tagging and CMMS readiness for instruments and control systems

C. Post-Handover (Maintenance)

- Own and ensure reliability of automation and instrumentation systems
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance and calibration
• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and field instrument issues
• Maintain backups of control logic and ensure change management
• Ensure compliance with EHS and control system safety requirements

5. Key Skills

- Robust site execution capability for automation systems
• Understanding of PLC/SCADA architecture and control logic
• Instrument calibration and troubleshooting skills
• Cross-functional coordination (Electrical, Mechanical, Process)
• Problem-solving in live plant conditions

6. Success Criteria

- On-time installation and commissioning of automation systems
• Stable and error-free control system operation post-startup
• Complete documentation and software backup handover
• High system reliability and minimal downtime
