JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer / Test Automation Specialist with expertise in Retail Order Management Systems (OMS), UI automation, automation framework development, and microservices testing. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless order orchestration, system reliability, and scalability across omnichannel retail platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Retail OMS Testing
- Validate the complete order lifecycle: capture, allocation, fulfillment, cancellation, and returns.
- Test integrations between OMS and ERP, POS, CRM, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Ensure inventory accuracy and synchronization across multiple sales channels.
- UI Automation (Mandatory)
- Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks for web applications.
- Automate functional and regression test scenarios using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Develop reusable, maintainable automation scripts following best practices such as Page Object Model (POM).
- Execute automated UI test suites as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
- Automation
- Design and implement automated test suites for regression, functional, API, and performance testing.
- Leverage tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman, and JMeter.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation and faster releases.
- Microservices Testing
- Perform API testing (REST/GraphQL) for distributed microservices.
- Conduct contract testing (e.g., Pact) to validate service interactions.




- Apply service virtualization to simulate dependent services.
- Execute resilience and chaos testing to ensure system fault tolerance.

Collaboration

- Work closely with developers, DevOps, business analysts, and product teams to align testing with business workflows.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to test planning and automation strategy discussions.

PRIMARY SKILLS

- Primary Skills (Mandatory)
- Strong hands-on experience in UI Automation using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress (mandatory).
- Experience in designing and developing UI automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Retail OMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, IBM Sterling, Oracle OMS, Blue Yonder, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Experience with performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in microservices testing, including API testing, contract testing, and service virtualization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of retail business workflows, including order orchestration, inventory management, fulfillment, and returns.
- Robust programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript for automation scripting.

Secondary Skills (If Any)

- Experience with Playwright framework development.
- Experience with Pact or other contract testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk.
- Experience with chaos engineering tools.
