- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for enterprise storage and distributed systems.
- Validate storage functionalities including:
- Replication
- Snapshots
- Backup & Recovery
- High Availability
- Failover mechanisms
- Cluster validation
- Execute testing across distributed multi-node environments.
- Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation strategies.
Automation & QA Engineering
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python.
- Automate repetitive testing scenarios to improve coverage and efficiency.
- Work closely with development teams to improve automation and release quality.
- Participate in CI/CD-driven testing and release validation workflows.
Debugging & Validation
- Analyze logs, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve defects.
- Validate fixes and ensure product stability across releases.
- Perform defect tracking, reporting, and regression verification.
Performance & Reliability Testing
- Conduct scalability, stress, and reliability testing for storage systems.
- Validate product behavior under heavy workloads and failure conditions.
- Identify system bottlenecks and provide quality improvement recommendations.
Collaboration & Agile Practices
- Work closely with QA, development, DevOps, and product teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and QA best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
- 3+ years of experience in QA/Testing with focus on Storage or Distributed Systems.
- Strong understanding of:
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Validation
- Distributed Systems Testing
- Solid programming/scripting skills in Python.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and QA methodologies.
Storage & Infrastructure Knowledge
- Understanding of storage technologies and concepts:
- RAID
- Replication
- Snapshots
- Backup & Recovery
- Distributed Storage Systems
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line operations.
- Exposure to virtualization and cloud infrastructure concepts is preferred.
CI/CD & Tools
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Jenkins
- Git
- Jira
- Test management tools
- Exposure to cloud-native or containerized environments is an added advantage.
