SAP BTP Consultant Solution Architecture & Innovation (Build, Test, Deploy) Role Overview: We are looking for a well-rounded SAP BTP Consultant who can design, build, test, and operationalize solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform, while also identifying gaps (especially in testing and automation) and conceptualizing new solutions with a strong business case. This is not a pure developer role. This is someone who understands end-to-end BTP lifecycle + enterprise realities, and can convert that into scalable, productizable solutions. • Breadth of knowledge and exposure to multiple BTP areas like Integration Suite, SAP HANA Cloud, Datasphere, Build Apps, API Management, AI services, and automation technologies is a must • Candidate should have hands-on specialization and have played a design, build, test, maintain kind of a role in 1 or more of below areas: • Business Application Studio (BAS) • Cloud Foundry Runtime • Workflow Management • Event Mesh • Master Data Governance (MDG) • Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA) Core Responsibilities 1. End-to-End BTP Solutioning (Build Test Deploy) • Design and implement solutions across SAP BTP services: o Application development o Integration o Extensions to S/4HANA • Own full lifecycle: o Build (apps, services, workflows) o Test (functional + integration + API) o Deploy (CI/CD, transport strategies) 2. Architecture & Solution Design • Define scalable architectures using: o CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) o Integration Suite o Event-driven architectures • Ensure alignment with:



o SAP clean core principles o Extensibility best practices • Make architectural trade-offs clear and justified 3. BTP Testing & Quality Engineering Focus • Identify challenges in: o Testing BTP applications (UI, APIs, workflows) o Integration flows and event-based systems • Define strategies for: o Automated testing o API chaining and validation o Test data handling in cloud environments • Work closely with platforms like Qyrus to: o Enable AI-driven testing o Improve test coverage and reliability 4. CI/CD & DevOps Enablement • Design and implement: o CI/CD pipelines for BTP applications o Automated deployment workflows • Integrate: o Git-based version control o Transport and release strategies • Ensure high-quality, repeatable deployments 5. Innovation & Problem Identification • Identify gaps in current customer landscapes: o Testing inefficiencies o Integration bottlenecks o Manual processes • Conceptualize new solutions: o Tools, accelerators, frameworks • Think beyond project delivery build reusable assets 6. Business Case Development • Translate technical ideas into: o Business value (cost, efficiency, risk reduction) • Build: o ROI models o Justification decks • Articulate: o Why a solution should be built o How it scales across customers 7.



Collaboration Across Teams • Work with: o SAP functional teams o Presales and Customer Success o Product & engineering teams • Bridge gap between: o Business needs o Technical execution Required Skills & Experience SAP BTP Expertise (Core) • 6–12 years of experience, with robust focus on SAP BTP • Hands-on experience with: o SAP Business Technology Platform o CAP (Node.js / Java) o Integration Suite (CPI) o Extension development for S/4HANA Development & Architecture • Strong programming skills (Node.js / Java) • Experience designing: o APIs o Microservices o Event-driven systems • Understanding of: o Cloud-native architectures Testing & Automation Mindset • Experience or strong understanding of: o API testing o Integration testing o Automation frameworks • Awareness of challenges in: o Testing distributed cloud systems DevOps & CI/CD • Experience with: o CI/CD pipelines o Git workflows o Automated deployments • Familiarity with: o Cloud transport and release management Consulting & Problem-Solving • Ability to: o Identify gaps proactively o Propose structured solutions • Strong analytical and structured thinking Communication & Business Acumen • Ability to: o Explain technical concepts to business stakeholders o Build compelling business cases • Strong documentation and presentation skills Good to Have • Exposure to: o AI/ML use cases on BTP o Process automation and workflow tools o SAP testing platforms (like Qyrus) • Experience in: o SAP S/4HANA transformations o Multi-system integration landscapes
