Job Summary:

Responsible for the manufacture, assembly, maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of injection molds used in plastic injection molding operations. Ensures molds are maintained in optimal condition to support efficient production, high product quality, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

- Mould Making
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, mold designs, and technical specifications.
- Manufacture and assemble injection mold components according to design requirements.
- Perform fitting, grinding, polishing, and bench work to achieve required tolerances.
- Operate conventional and CNC machines, including milling, lathe, surface grinding, and EDM equipment.
- Conduct mold trials and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality.
- Mould Maintenance.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molds.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble molds.
- Troubleshoot mold-related production issues such as flash, short shots, burn marks, and dimensional defects.
- Replace worn or damaged mold components, including inserts, ejector pins, sliders, and cooling components.
- Maintain mold maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure proper storage, preservation, and handling of molds.




- Quality & Production Support.
- Inspect mold components using precision measuring instruments.
- Verify dimensional accuracy and mold performance.
- Support production teams during mold setup, changeovers, and startup activities.
- Recommend improvements to increase mold life and production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and maintenance standards.

Qualification:

- Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

- 4 - 7 years of experience in injection mold making and maintenance.
- Experience in automotive, packaging, medical, consumer goods, or plastic manufacturing industries is preferred.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
- Experience in mold assembly, fitting, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and tooling specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, milling, grinding, and polishing.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and hot-runner systems.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
