Purpose of the Role

Lead the planning, execution and handover of MWscale, containerised BESS projects for commercial and industrial clients. Ensure site readiness, regulatory compliance and vendor coordination to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required safety and performance standards.

Role & responsibilities

- Endtoend project execution: Manage and direct the execution of complex EPC projects for battery energystorage systems. Coordinate site assessments, feasibility studies and permitting, ensuring that site selection, land rights and utilities meet project requirements.
- Project planning & risk management: Develop comprehensive project plans (scope, schedule, budget, risk) and manage the endtoend project lifecycle. Perform project planning with customers, internal teams and suppliers, documenting and communicating initial plans and changes. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to site conditions, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Crossfunctional leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams spanning engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, business administration, customers and suppliers. Foster collaboration among stakeholders, including technical partners and suppliers, to ensure seamless integration and minimum surprises during execution.
- Technical oversight: Oversee design, engineering, procurement and construction phases, validating that systems meet technical specifications, safety standards and quality controls throughout the project. Ensure proper thermal management, battery safety (NFPA 855/UL 9540) and compliance with national and local codes.
- Financial performance & reporting: Develop and manage project budgets,



monitor costs and identify costsaving opportunities to improve financial performance while maintaining customer satisfaction. Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges and mitigation plans.
- Handover & continuous improvement: Transfer completed projects to the service organisation for operations and maintenance. Support sales teams in acquiring future projects by sharing lessons learned and improving proposal accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering; Masters degree or PMP certification preferred.
- 7 -10 years of projectmanagement experience in renewable energy or power infrastructure, including at least 3 years overseeing complex EPC projects. Experience with solar EPC and batteryenergystorage projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams and manage multiple stakeholders; strong collaboration and influencing skills.
- Expertise in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and risk management; ability to develop budgets and analyse financial performance.
- Indepth understanding of BESS technologies, grid integration and relevant standards; knowledge of national and state regulatory frameworks (CEA/CERC, NFPA 855, IEC 62619).
- Strong communication skills and executive presence; able to present to clients and senior management.
- Willingness to travel extensively and to visit remote sites; commitment to safety and continuous learning.
