Qualification :

Essential: - Candidate should have full time Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgy / Production or allied Engineering, from reputed institute.

Desired: - Masters degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, Production or Chemical Engineering orinOperation Management.

Experience: -

Essential: 7+ years of experience in hot refining, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Desired: -

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Prior experience in managing safety programs within the refining sector.

JobProfile:

The position Holder will be responsible for overseeing the hot refining process in the plant, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and quality.



The role requires hands-on experience in metallurgical refining processes, managing a team, optimizing production, and meeting regulatory compliance.

Process Management

Supervise and manage the hot refining operations, ensuring smooth functioning and optimum n output.

Develop and implement strategies for process improvement and cost reduction in hot refining.

Maintain an efficient balance between production quality, quantity, and resource utilization.

Team Leadership

Lead, train, and mentor the operational team, ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.

Set performance objectives and regularly evaluate the teams progress toward those goals.

Quality Control & Assurance

Ensure that products meet all necessary quality standards and customer requirements.

Collaborate with the quality control team to analyze and address any product deviations or defects.

Safety and Compliance

Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in the hot refining unit.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, government policies, and internal safety protocols.

Production Planning

Develop and execute production schedules to meet company demand, minimize downtime, and reduce bottlenecks.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, efficiency, and energy consumption to optimize production.

Cost Control & Efficiency

Identify opportunities for reducing operational costs, improving process efficiency, and maximizing output.

Ensure proper utilization of resources, including raw materials, energy, and labor.

Equipment Maintenance

Coordinate with the maintenance team for regular servicing, repair,



and preventive maintenance of refining equipment to avoid disruptions.

Reporting

Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, downtime, costs, and other critical metrics to senior management.

Skills

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of metallurgical processes, refining operations, equipment handling, and safety protocols.

Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive performance.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.

Communication Skills : Solid verbal and written communication skills for effective team management and reporting .
