Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient data protection strategies across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS security services, cryptography, cloud networking, and enterprise data protection frameworks, with a strong focus on safeguarding sensitive data across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and implement enterprise-wide data protection architecture across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Design and manage encryption strategies (data at rest, in transit, and in use) using industry-standard cryptographic protocols.
- Architect secure solutions leveraging AWS services such as KMS, CloudHSM, IAM, VPC, Shield, WAF, and GuardDuty.
- Develop and enforce data security policies, governance, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, etc.).
- Design secure cloud networking architectures including VPC design, private endpoints, VPNs, and zero-trust models.
- Lead implementation of data loss prevention (DLP), tokenization, masking, and key management solutions.
- Conduct security risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis for data systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to integrate data protection into the SDLC.




- Drive incident response and remediation strategies for data breaches and security events.
- Stay updated with emerging threats, security technologies, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong experience in AWS cloud architecture and security services.
- Deep understanding of cryptography principles (PKI, TLS, encryption algorithms, key management).
- Expertise in cloud networking (VPC, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, private connectivity).
- Hands-on experience with data protection technologies (encryption, masking, tokenization, DLP tools).
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) and zero-trust security models.
- Experience with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
- Solid understanding of security architecture frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CISM.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to DevSecOps and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience in securing microservices and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy frameworks.
