Job Summary
The Junior Interior Designer / Junior Design Engineer will assist the design team in preparing interior design concepts, space planning, detailed drawings, and project documentation for corporate office fit-out projects. The role involves close coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, and the execution team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of design deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning
- Assist in developing interior design concepts and space planning.
- Prepare presentation drawings, mood boards, and material selections.
- Coordinate design revisions based on client and consultant feedback.
- Develop detailed shop drawings for site execution.
3D Visualization
- Create 3D models and rendered views for client presentations.
- Prepare walkthroughs and presentation materials when required.
Site Coordination
- Visit project sites for measurements and verification.
- Coordinate with site engineers for design implementation.
- Assist in resolving site-related design issues.
Vendor & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors for material selection and samples.
- Prepare material schedules and finish schedules.
- Review product catalogues and Technical Data Sheets (TDS).
Documentation
- Prepare BOQs based on approved drawings.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project standards.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of interior design principles.
- Good knowledge of space planning and detailing.
- Ability to read architectural and MEP drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
