1. Job Purpose
To ensure smooth, timely, and legally compliant import and export operations by coordinating with various suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, clearing agents, government authorities, and internal departments while minimizing logistics cost, avoiding shipment delays, and maintaining compliance with Indian customs regulations and customer requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Import Operations
- Plan and monitor all import shipments.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers regarding shipment schedules.
- Verify Purchase Orders before shipment.
- Ensure suppliers submit shipping documents on time.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and CHA (Custom House Agent).
- Track shipments from supplier to factory.
- Arrange customs clearance without delay.
- Coordinate transportation from port to plant.
- Ensure timely receipt of imported raw materials to avoid production stoppage.
- Monitor detention, demurrage and container charges.
- Resolve customs-related issues.

- Bill of Lading / Air Waybill
- Certificate of Origin
- Insurance documents
- Delivery Challan
- Shipping Bill
- Import Bill of Entry
- Purchase Orders
- Letter of Credit documents (if applicable)
- GST documentation
- E-way Bill
- FTA / CEPA documents wherever applicable
Maintain digital and physical documentation as per company policy.
D. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
- Bachelors degree in commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Export-Import Management is preferred.
7. Experience
- 1-3 years in Import & Export operations.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing or automotive ancillary company.
- Knowledge of international logistics.
- Experience Korean companies preferred.
