Role Overview

The Information Security Senior Advisor for Carelon Global Solutions (CGS) serves as a strategic and execution-focused security leader responsible for driving the adoption and implementation of Elevance Health Information Security standards within CGS, with a specific focus on commercialization initiatives and supporting infrastructure.

This role operates as a trusted partner to the CGS BISO, ensuring that enterprise security standards are not only aligned but effectively delivered and embedded into CGS commercialization efforts. The position plays a critical role in bridging business objectives, IT delivery, and security requirements, ensuring that future-state commercial platforms and capabilities are built securely and in compliance with enterprise expectations.

The individual will support CGS commercialization activities by guiding, influencing, and validating security outcomes, ensuring both business enablement and adherence to Elevance Health security, risk, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment & Security Enablement

- Partner with the CGS BISO to drive implementation and adoption of Elevance Health Information Security standards across CGS, with emphasis on commercialization initiatives and current infrastructure.
- Act as a security enabler for CGS commercialization efforts, ensuring security requirements are integrated early and effectively into solution design and delivery.
- Ensure that future-state CGS platforms and infrastructure meet enterprise security expectations while supporting business growth and innovation.




- Provide hands-on guidance to ensure security standards are actionable, achievable, and consistently applied.

Commercialization Support & Security Integration

- Support CGS commercialization programs by ensuring security requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and implemented across business and IT teams.
- Partner with architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders to embed security controls into new commercial infrastructure and solutions.
- Ensure that both business objectives and IT delivery requirements are aligned with enterprise InfoSec standards.
- Identify gaps in security implementation within commercialization efforts and drive remediation and alignment.

Business Engagement & Risk Management

- Engage with CGS business and technology leaders to translate enterprise InfoSec standards into practical, business-aligned controls.
- Identify, assess, and manage cybersecurity and data protection risks, particularly within commercialization initiatives and new platform deployments.
- Support risk-based decision making by balancing security requirements with business priorities and timelines.
- Escalate key risks, gaps, and trends to the CGS BISO,



particularly those impacting commercialization readiness or compliance.

Operational Support & Governance

- Provide oversight and support to ensure consistent application of security standards across CGS environments, including newly established commercialization infrastructure.
- Support coordination of security incidents impacting CGS, ensuring alignment with enterprise response processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned, particularly as they relate to commercialization platforms and security maturity.
- Help establish and reinforce security governance practices aligned to enterprise expectations.

Communication & Reporting

- Provide regular updates to the CGS BISO on security posture, standard adoption, commercialization readiness, and key risks.
- Develop clear, business-focused reporting that highlights security alignment, gaps, and progress related to commercialization efforts.
- Support preparation of materials for executive-level discussions, with emphasis on security readiness and risk posture for commercial initiatives.
