Manager – Taxation (Indirect & Direct Tax)
Reporting to: Director – Finance
Experience: 4–5 years post-qualification (mandatory)
Qualification: Qualified CA — mandatory

Role Summary
Leads the taxation department end-to-end — GST and direct tax — with primary depth in GST given the company's indirect tax exposure. Also owns international tax compliance given the company's foreign presence. Operates in a fast-paced, pre-IPO workplace; expected to build process, not just follow it.
Key Responsibilities
1. GST — Compliance, Review & Structuring
• Own GST return filings, ITC reconciliation, refunds, audits, and notices across all GSTINs
• Lead GST structuring initiatives with external advisors; present risk-quantified recommendations
2. Direct Tax
• Advance tax computation and provisioning (Ind AS 12, DTA/DTL, ETR reconciliation)
• Transfer pricing — Form 3CEB, TP documentation, benchmarking
• TDS compliance, 26AS/TRACES reconciliation, tax audit support (Form 3CD)
3. International Tax
• WHT compliance on cross-border transactions,



DTAA rate determination
• GST implications on cross-border transactions; FTC recovery (Form 67)
4. IPO Readiness
• Own tax workstreams for DRHP — disclosures, contingent liabilities, due diligence queries with bankers/auditors
• Proactively flag tax risks against listing requirements
5. Litigation & Tax Planning
• Manage GST/Income Tax notices, appeals, litigation tracker
• Identify tax optimization opportunities; track jurisprudence impact
6. Process, Mindset & Team
• Startup mindset — build process, challenge inefficiency, comfortable with ambiguity
• Drive AI-led efficiencies in tax workflows
• Supervise tax team; act as Checker on tax tracker items
Desired Skills
• Qualified CA, 4–5 years post-qualification — mandatory
• Strong hands-on GST expertise; working knowledge of TP and international tax
• Experience in a fast-scaling/startup environment; high ownership; hands-on AI tool usage
