We are looking for a skilled Mixpanel Implementation Developer to support an initial client engagement in collaboration with the Mixpanel implementation team.

The selected candidate will initially shadow Mixpanel specialists during client discussions, discovery sessions, technical workshops, and implementation activities. The objective is to gain practical exposure to the Mixpanel platform, implementation methodology, and best practices.

Following the initial enablement period, the candidate will be expected to independently lead and support future Mixpanel implementation projects for clients across the UK and EMEA region.

This is a remote opportunity requiring flexibility to attend client and partner meetings aligned with UK and EMEA business hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in client introduction, discovery, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Shadow Mixpanel specialists during platform implementation and technical workshops.
- Understand client applications, products, user journeys, analytics objectives, and technical architecture.
- Translate business requirements and product journeys into measurable events, users, profiles, and properties.
- Design and document event-based tracking plans.
- Implement Mixpanel SDKs across web, mobile, and server-side applications.
- Configure anonymous and authenticated user tracking.
- Implement user identification, aliasing, profile merging, and profile updates.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, validation, import, export, and reconciliation activities.
- Integrate Mixpanel with cloud data warehouses, customer data platforms, event-routing platforms, and third-party systems.
- Work with REST APIs, JSON payloads, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot issues related to missing events, duplicate data, incorrect properties, fragmented user journeys, and user identity management.
- Validate implementation accuracy using debugging and testing tools.
- Maintain data quality, event governance, schema consistency, and tracking standards.
- Prepare tracking specifications, implementation guides, technical documentation, and handover materials.
- Collaborate with client development teams, product managers, data teams, analytics teams, and Mixpanel consultants.
- Independently lead future Mixpanel implementations after completing the initial shadowing and knowledge-transfer period.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong understanding of event-based analytics and behavioural data.




- Experience designing tracking plans around events, users, profiles, and properties.
- Good understanding of funnels, retention, cohorts, engagement, conversion, and user journeys.
- Ability to translate business objectives into measurable analytics events and properties.
- Hands-on experience implementing analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Strong experience in web, mobile, or server-side application development.
- Experience with at least one of the following technologies:
- JavaScript
- Node.js
- Python
- Java
- PHP
- Ruby
- Go
- Swift or Objective-C
- Android
- React Native
- Flutter

- Robust understanding of anonymous and authenticated user tracking.
- Experience managing unique user identities across devices, sessions, and platforms.
- Experience implementing user identification, aliasing, merging, and profile updates.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Understanding of batch and real-time data ingestion.
- Experience with data imports, exports, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of data quality, schema consistency, and event governance.

Integration and Data Platform Experience

Candidates should have experience with one or more of the following cloud data platforms:

- Snowflake
- Google BigQuery
- Amazon Redshift
- Databricks

Experience with one or more of the following customer data, tag-management, or event-routing platforms is preferred:

- Segment
- RudderStack
- mParticle
- Google Tag Manager

Preferred Skills

- Previous hands-on experience implementing Mixpanel.
- Experience with other product analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Heap, Pendo, or Firebase Analytics.
- Experience with JQL or other analytics query languages.
- Knowledge of Mixpanel Lexicon, data classification, and event governance.
- Experience configuring SSO, roles, permissions, workspace governance, and data access controls.
- Experience with feature flags, product experiments, or A/B testing frameworks.
- Understanding of GDPR,



consent management, privacy, and data protection requirements.
- Prior customer-facing implementation or technical consulting experience.

Functional and Consulting Skills

- Ability to understand business objectives and convert them into technical analytics solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to participate confidently in client-facing workshops and technical discussions.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with development teams, product managers, data engineers, analytics teams, and platform consultants.
- Ability to learn the Mixpanel platform quickly and take ownership of future implementations.

Experience Requirements

- Minimum 4 years of overall experience in software development, analytics implementation, data engineering, digital analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in event tracking, SDK implementation, API integration, product analytics, or customer data platforms.
- Prior client-facing implementation experience is strongly preferred.

Availability Requirements

- Must be available to attend client and partner meetings aligned with UK and EMEA business hours.
- Must be available to join an initial client introduction on Monday afternoon, UK time.
- Must be available to shadow the Mixpanel implementation team for several days following the initial client meeting.
- Must be comfortable working remotely during agreed UK business hours.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a technically strong developer, product analytics consultant, digital analytics specialist, or implementation consultant with experience in event-driven architectures, SDK integrations, APIs, identity management, and modern data platforms.

The candidate should be comfortable working directly with clients, understanding application architectures, learning Mixpanel rapidly, and progressing from an initial shadowing engagement to independently delivering end-to-end Mixpanel implementations.
