>A Flexera tool consultant / developer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the implementation, configuration, and potential customization of Flexera software solutions.

As a consultant, they will advise clients on the best practices and strategies for utilizing the Flexera tool to optimize their software asset management, software license optimization, and IT asset management processes.

>They will also guide clients in designing and implementing workflows and automation processes using the Flexera tool.

Additionally, a Flexera tool consultant / developer will be involved in developing configurations, extensions, and integrations to meet specific client needs.

Skills & Competencies

- Flexera Platform: In-depth knowledge of the Flexera suite of tools, including FlexNet Manager Suite, FlexNet Manager for Cloud Infrastructure, and FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications.
- Software model creation and hierarchy structure
- Software management process step configuration
- Approval workflows
- Process step orchestration
- Flexera platform-native reporting, notification and dashboard configuration to client requirements
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python is essential. These languages are commonly used for developing Flexera tools.
- Configuration Management: Familiarity with configuration management concepts and tools, such as Flexera AdminStudio or Flexera InstallShield, which are commonly used for managing software deployments




- Web Services and APIs: Knowledge of web services and APIs (REST, SOAP) is key for integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications.
- Discovery Tools (ServiceNow Discovery, Logic7, Flexera)
- Configuration and Resource Manager Applications (SCCM/MECM, JAMF, InTune)
- Network Device Managers (ScienceLogic, Nagios, SolarWinds)
- Other (Datadog, Qualys)
- Database Management: Proficiency in working with databases, particularly SQL-based databases, as Flexera tools often require interacting with databases for storing and retrieving information
- ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes and frameworks is beneficial, as ServiceNow is often utilized for IT service management (ITSM) and IT operations management (ITOM).
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging techniques to identify and resolve issues in ServiceNow configurations, workflows, and scripts.
- Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git to manage and track changes in ServiceNow development.
- Agile Methodology: Understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices, as ServiceNow development often involves working in Agile teams and following iterative development

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
