Mandatory Skills-

Robust Exp of Machining, Sheetmetal, Forging, Casting, and Mechanical/Electromechanical assembly processes.

Experience in process planning, tooling, production optimization, and secondary manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in manufacturing documentation (PFD, PFMEA, Routers, SOPs, Work Instructions).

Hands-on experience with SAP, MES (Solumina or equivalent), and should-costing tools (e.g., aPriori).

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing manufacturing process plans, should-cost models, and manufacturing documentation for components produced through Machining, Sheetmetal, Forging, and Casting processes. The role supports manufacturability, cost optimization, manufacturing readiness, and new product introduction through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop manufacturing process plans and should-cost estimates from engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.;
- Evaluate manufacturability, process selection, tooling, cycle times,



and production methods to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation including PFDs, PFMEAs, Manufacturing Routers, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
- Create and maintain manufacturing data in SAP and MES (e.g., Solumina), including routers, work centers, and process information.
- Analyze supplier quotations, validate tooling/NRE costs, and support supplier evaluation and sourcing decisions.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing cost models, work center rates, labor standards, and cost databases.
- Support NPI, value engineering, DFM/DFC initiatives, and continuous cost reduction projects.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Strong knowledge of Machining, Sheetmetal, Forging, Casting, and Mechanical/Electromechanical assembly processes.
- Experience in process planning, tooling, production optimization, and secondary manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in manufacturing documentation (PFD, PFMEA, Routers, SOPs, Work Instructions).
- Hands-on experience with SAP, MES (Solumina or equivalent), and should-costing tools (e.g., aPriori).
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
