Your new role

As an Associate Clinical Data Programmer in Data Standards Integration (DSI), you will play a central role in designing, building and maintaining clinical study databases and data pipelines that power our clinical trials. Your work will directly enable the generation of high-quality data that supports regulatory submissions and gets medicines to patients who need them.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

- Designing and setting up study databases (EDC and CDMS build) leading up to SDTM data generation for clinical trials of medium to high complexity
- Developing, configuring and maintaining API-based data ingestion pipelines to securely acquire data from external vendors and third-party systems into our NextGen data platform
- Acquiring, transforming, harmonising and integrating raw clinical data from multiple external sources to ensure seamless data availability for downstream consumers
- Performing configurations and transformational updates within our next-generation framework to establish standardised data flows and a single source of truth
- Executing and documenting User Acceptance Testing to ensure databases meet specification requirements before deployment into production
- Monitoring daily data loads across relevant systems, troubleshooting error incidents and supporting internal stakeholders and vendors through the Managed File Transfer process
- Promoting the exchange of best practices within the organisation and ensuring learnings are implemented in forthcoming trials and projects

Within RD, you will join Data Standards Integration (DSI) in Global Development, Bangalore. The team is responsible for end-to-end clinical data programming from database design and set-up through to data ingestion and standardisation across our growing trial portfolio. You will collaborate closely with Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, AI Digital Innovation and external vendors/CROs to deliver robust data solutions that accelerate our pipeline.

Your skills qualifications

Were looking for an Associate Clinical Data Programmer who thrives in a technically demanding environment and is energised by solving complex data challenges. Youll bring with you:

- A minimum M.Sc or B.Sc in Life Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Clinical Information Management or equivalent qualification
- 2 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 2 years of hands-on end-to-end clinical database set-up activities (preferably Veeva EDC/CDB) with working knowledge of CDASH, SDTM and CDISC standards
- Fluency in programming languages such as SQL, CQL, R, Python, Azure Databricks or SAS, and experience designing and implementing API integrations for clinical data acquisition
- Strong understanding of protocol design, CRF standards, InForm/Veeva terminologies, EDC data structures, GxP practices and medical terminology
- Basic knowledge of AI ML concepts to contribute to automation initiatives
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with robust analytical skills, the ability to prioritise competing demands, and fluency in written and spoken English
