Senior Executive Inventory / Inbound
Function: Grocery Operations
Location: Luhari
Reporting to: Manager / Senior Manager Operations / Supply Chain
Role
The Assistant Manager Inventory will be responsible for managing end to end inventory operations for grocery categories to ensure optimal stock availability, minimal shrinkage, and improved working capital efficiency. The role focuses on demand planning, stock accuracy, inventory optimization, and coordination with warehouse, category, and store teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning Control
Plan and maintain optimal inventory levels across grocery categories to achieve high availability while minimizing overstock and expiry.
Monitor daily/weekly inventory health metrics such as stock cover, ageing, excess, and non moving inventory.
Drive FIFO/FEFO implementation to reduce expiry and write offs.
Manage replenishment cycles in coordination with demand planning and category teams.
Operational Execution
Ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies across ERP/WMS systems.
Coordinate with warehouse and store teams to ensure smooth inbound, put away, and outbound inventory flow.
Support recent store launches, range expansions, and seasonal assortment planning.
Vendor Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with category managers, procurement, suppliers, and logistics teams.
Track vendor fill rates, lead times, damages, and shortages.
Escalate chronic inventory or supply issues and drive corrective action plans.
Process Improvement Compliance
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory handling, storage, and dispatch.
Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce losses and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and internal audit requirements.
Reporting Analytics
Prepare regular MIS and dashboards on inventory KPIs such as ITR, DOH, expiry loss, shrinkage, and service levels.
Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to management for decision making.
Support monthly and quarterly inventory closure activities.
Team Management
Guide and monitor inventory executives and store/warehouse teams.
Conduct training on inventory best practices and system usage.
Ensure adherence to timelines and operational discipline.

Working Capital Optimization
Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related field.
Certification in supply chain or inventory management (preferred).
Experience
58 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in grocery, FMCG, retail, or e commerce operations.
Hands on experience in managing large SKU counts and multi location inventory.
