Role Overview

Equipment Maintenance & Overhauling

- Rotating Equipment: Direct and execute maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauling of critical rotating assets, including reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, screw compressors, gas engines, blowers, and multi-stage centrifugal/VT pumps.
- Static Equipment & Piping: Oversee maintenance and inspection of heat exchangers, fin-fan coolers, pressure vessels, skids, and associated high-pressure piping systems.
- Shutdowns & Turnarounds: Plan, coordinate, and execute major plant turnarounds, equipment overhauls, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Reliability & Asset Performance Management

- Implement Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM), predictive analytics, and lube oil analysis to reduce unplanned downtime and improve MTBF/MTTR metrics.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures to implement permanent corrective actions.
- Manage spare parts identification, creation of Bill of Materials (BOM), and PM scheduling using SAP-PM / SAP-MM modules.

Safety & Compliance

- Strictly enforce safety standards, including Job Safety Analysis (HIRA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Work Permits, and Toolbox Talks.




- Ensure all maintenance procedures adhere to relevant industrial standards, including API 610, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 682, API 510, OISD, and ASME B16.20.
- Lead work-at-height, scaffolding, and hot work activities with full compliance to site safety protocols.

- Compressors & Drives: Direct expertise in overhauling and servicing reciprocating, centrifugal, and screw compressors (e.g., Kobelco, Ariel, Siemens, Atlas Copco, Howden).
- Pumps: In-depth knowledge of API/non-API pumps (Sulzer, KSB, Flowserve, KEPL, Netzscher, Sundyne).
- Software/Systems: Proficient in SAP (PM/MM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) tools.
- Standards & Codes: Strong working knowledge of API standards for rotating equipment, mechanical seals, and ASME codes.

Soft Skills & Leadership

- Proven leadership abilities in managing site technicians, contractors, and cross-functional maintenance teams.
- Solid critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with central monitoring, remote diagnostics, or APM tools (e.g., Honeywell Uniformance).
- Prior experience in commissioning greenfield or brownfield chemical/gas processing units.
- Formal certifications in technical training, machine guarding, or industrial safety.
