Job Description
- Firmware Development for Inverter/Drive Control - Develop and release stable, efficient, and optimized firmware for inverter-based compressor and fan motor drives.
- Implement motor control algorithms such as FOC, Sine PWM, Space Vector PWM (SVPWM), soft-start, protection logic, and dynamic load handling.
- Control Algorithm Implementation Optimization - Design, tune, and optimize control loops (current loop, speed loop, torque control, DC bus control).
- Improve efficiency, switching performance, and thermal behaviour through firmware optimization.
- Firmware Integration With System Controller - Ensure seamless handshaking between inverter drive and main logic controller (communication protocols, signal mapping, error handling).
- Release interface specifications and communication test reports.
- Protection Diagnostic Logic Development - Implement inverter protection algorithms such as: Over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, Compressor stall, phase loss, rotor lock, Over-temperature protection for power devices.
- Develop diagnostic features, fault logging, and recovery procedures.
- Functional Parametric Testing - Prepare and execute firmware validation test cases on real hardware (compressor rigs, fan motors,
inverter bench).
- Validate performance under different loads, temperatures, operating modes, and power quality conditions.
- Support system-level EMI/EMC and safety testing.
- Tuning Calibration - Perform inverter tuning for different compressor and fan motor models.
- Generate tuning documents, calibration files, and release notes for production use.
- Validate tuning consistency across multiple units.
- Firmware Documentation Release Management - Prepare firmware specifications, architecture documents, and revision notes.
- Ensure proper version control, configuration management, and release procedures.
- Debugging Issue Resolution - Debug issues during prototype testing, field trials, and production.
- Perform root cause analysis for inverter performance issues, noise, heating, oscillation, and protection triggers.
- Release corrective firmware updates within defined timelines.
- Continuous Improvement Innovation - Introduce recent control strategies, efficiency improvements, and algorithm enhancements.
- Develop self-diagnostic features to reduce service costs and improve system reliability.
