Role & responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first-off, in-process, Patrol and final inspection of CNC machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.;
- Carry out dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Dial Indicators, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges, Ring Gauges, Pin Guage, Profile projector & Keyence Any model.
- Ensure components meet drawing specifications and quality requirements.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming parts and coordinate with production for corrective actions.
- Support CNC production by verifying machining dimensions during setup and process changes.
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and calibration status of measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with production and tooling teams to resolve quality issues.
- Follow quality procedures and maintain a safe and organized work workplace.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/GTTC/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 25 years of experience in CNC machining quality inspection.
- Good knowledge of CNC Turning and VMC/HMC machining processes.
- Robust understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.;
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 requirements.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques for machined components.
- Basic understanding of machining parameters, tooling, and process flow.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge about 7QC tools, 5S
- Added Advantage - Familiarity with SPC, MSA, CP, PPAP & FMEA.
